Emily Gipson is Co-President, Co-Founder, and Head of Operations & Community at ATX TV and ATX Television Festival.

Since founding the festival with Caitlin McFarland in 2012, Emily and the ATX TV team have developed and created a distinct event that serves a unique audience of consumers and TV Industry; who become one community that celebrates TV’s past, discover something new, and experience TV together.  

Emily’s primary focus is on overall strategy and logistics and the attendee experience, including running the ATX TV Membership Program, spearheading and leading the annual Pitch Competition including working with the Finalists on a year-round career advancement program, and overseeing the company’s non-profit and community partnerships.

Since 2020 the team has launched an evergreen brand, ATX TV, that serves their audience and partners year round through virtual and in person events and a growing editorial reach.

Before founding ATX Television Festival, Emily worked across the TV and Film Industry including for 20th Century Fox Film, Fox TV Studios, and Discovery Communications. She met her cofounder, Caitlin McFarland, as assistants on the Fox Lot. Seven years later they had an idea and the rest is history.

Emily Gipson is Co-President, Co-Founder, and Head of Operations & Community at ATX TV and ATX Television Festival.
